Itinerary:

Day 01: Welcome at Puerto Maldonado’s airport, transfer in bus to the port where our motor boat takes us on an hour ride on the Madre de Dios River toward Nái-Mecí Lodge, briefing from our guide and discuss general rain forest ecology. Immediately after relaxing and refreshing at our fantastic bungalows, we can Start walking in the forest through the trail system and observe the forest and the amazing bird life. Dinner and a short briefing for next day plans. As optional an interesting night walk to observe insects and amphibians. Overnight at Nái-Mecí Lodge.

We invite our guests to enjoy the swimming pool, the tropical bar, pool, darts and other games.

Day 02: An Early breakfast will be offered for all our guests starting early activities. Once again our motor boat will take us on the river to observe the fabulous bird life until the rangers control and the entry to Sandoval Lake located in Tambopata Reserve. We start a 3 kilometer walk through an interesting trail to the Lake it self, board small canoes and paddle to observe monkeys, turtles, etc. and if lucky the family of Giant Otters. We walk back to our motorized boat and to Nái-Mecí Lodge late afternoon. Dinner. Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 03: This day we boat our motorized boat and go down stream the river toward a Ese-Eja ethnia Native Community. This boat ride offers an opportunity to observe the forest and the bird life. Once we arrive we can learn form some of the families about their cultural values, customs, language, get to know jungle fruits and products and the chance to buy some of their handmade crafts in a way to economically support them. Box lunch on the boat and return to Nái-Mecí Lodge.

Day 04: Very early alter having breakfast, once again we leave in our boat toward “Taricaya Project” where our guide will explain how this project involves nature conservation and the rehabilitation of animals found or mistreat by humans. It is possible to observe flora and fauna from the area walking through the trail system while our guide tales us some native legends and teach us all about medicinal plants. We climb up the hanging bridge and walk to the tower to have a spectacular overview form the treetops. We have lunch and return to Nái-Mecí Lodge. Dinner and overnight a tour lodge.

Day 05: We leave Nái-Mecí Lodge after breakfast in our boat toward the port and Puerto Maldonado’s airport.
